Major project Egypt
The FKT Faßbender GmbH has come out as winner of the placing of a major contract by Siemens. For Siemens itself the already in 2015 commissioned project is the largest in company history. With the construction of wind farms, which will have a capacity of 2 gigawatt, and the construction of three combined gas and steam power plants, with a capacity of 4.8 gigawatt each, the project includes an increase in power supply of about 50 % for Egypt.
The FKT delivers the main as well as the secondary cooling water pipelines for altogether 12 blocks of the gas and steam power plants in Burullus, Beni Suef and New Capital. The delivery includes GRP pipes and fittings in nominal diameters 25 – 2,600, produced in our factories in Draschwitz and in Poland.
The first step of electricity feed-in is planned for winter 2016 / 2017 already. After completion of construction the gas and steam power plants will be the largest ones worldwide.
